Kick-off meeting was held between the Department of Agriculture (DA) – Bureau of Animal Insustry (BAI) headed by its Director Dr. Ronnie Domingo and BleuPierre FMC-Petdentity CEO/ President, Mr. Denis Reyes last 13th December 2017. It was participated by Dr. Joy Lagayan (BAI – AHW VET ll), Ms. Marites Gealone (BAI – IT), Ms. Cherry Reyes (BleuPierre FMC – COO) and Ms. Mina Ortega (Birdentity – OM).
BleuPierre FMC President/CEO introduced an ISO Standard and ICAR Compliance Integrated / Unified Pet Data Management System called PETDENTITY System in support to the Anti-Rabies Act of 2007 (R.A. 9482), R.A.8485: Mass Registration and Anti-Rabies Vaccination Monitoring and Control. Aiming to provide and implement a sustainable system to help the Rabies-Free Philippines 2020 which is the objective of the Bureau of Animal Industry.
Petdentity’s mission is to serve as a National Pet Identity & Data Storage System which ensures a full compliance system and integration to all measures under the prevailing Implementing Rules and Regulations of BAI. Web-based and downloadable Mobile Application shall be deployed and free of use for BAI, LGUs , Authorized Vet, Shelter Home and Pet Owners.
Mr. Denis Reyes also discussed the implementation of Pet Passport for travelling pets. Both parties are reviewing the MOU and most likely to be signed before the end of 2017.
Microchips, Microchip Readers and training support will also be given during the implementation stage which is targeted to be rolled out on 3rd week of January 2018.
