BAGUIO CITY is pushing for microchip

BAGUIO CITY Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong is pushing for microchip implants for man’s best friend. Magalong said he is compassionate towards the plight of euthanized dogs in the city and alternative solutions are now being sought. City veterinarian Brigit Piok added the microchip solution will be of no cost to the city and will be shouldered by dog owners at P299 per dog.

Petdentity and STI College OJT Partnership

Petdentity believes with the youth’s potentials to change the world and make it better. To carry-out this belief for the new year of 2019, we have partnered with STI Makati led by Ms. Shirley C. Patubo, and headed by Petdentity’s Sales and Marketing, Mr. Ryan Figueroa, and IT Supervisor, Mr. JM Castillo.

Our OJT program gives first-hand experience to the students about the world outside the four corners of their classrooms. Both office and field works were tasked for them to be exposed and help them build their confidence with their own work. We hope to guide them decide to choose their careers, help them enhance their strengths and work-out on their weaknesses. This program didn’t just help them, but also helped and inspired us to still believe with our today’s youth. Thank you and job well-done, STI-Makati!

Petdentity aims to train and orient students about work and their future career. It is a type of skill development where a worker learns how to do the work through hands-on experience. OJT is very important not only to teach students regarding their chosen career but also to show student the reality about working. The student will be exposed to the actual work related to the course that they are taking. On-the-job training helps the trainee to learn more about his/her chosen field and practice what he has learned from the school.
